Karls Work - Project 1 and Charrettes.

Drafts of the ink splots.
Final Klecksograph

Final contour drawing.

Final hatched drawing.

Charrette drawing 1.
Charrette drawing 2.

Charrette drawing 3.
Charrette drawing 4 (Balance)

Charrette drawing 4 (Dominance)

This was the Asymmetrical charrette I made using popsicle sticks and wire.

This is how I bound the sticks together, trialling different techniques I found that this one worked the best.

This is the balance charrette I made, i decided to go with the literal meaning of balance so the top structure is all free and not bound to the stand in any way.

This is an worms eye view of the balance charrette.

This is the symmetrical charrette I made, it uses a weaving technique and no wires. i found that it was quite strong and not easily broken. I saw that i was symmetrical with the way that each stick goes under then over etc. also all of the squares made are even.
Another view of the symmetrical charrette.
This was the draft for the final geometric contour, it shows the skeleton of the shape with no details.

This is the final geometric contour drawing. Its hards to see the contours because the line weights didn't show up as good as I had hoped for.

Final wood model of the triangular pyramid contour shape.
Another angle.

This is the final wire model that shows the inside 'void' of my shape.

Another angle..

And another.

These paper models are the best way I could describe my contoured shape, I found this the most challenging. (sorry about the lines on the photos)

Another view..

This paper model show that 'caves' that I could see in my contoured shapes. I tried to capture the 'void' as best I could.

This is the other model (still mainly focusing on the caves that disappear into the corner.
