Aneesa Hussain- week 2

CHARETTES

BALANCE                        DOMINANCE

Image is from the charette we had to communicate dominance in one drawing and Balance in the other.Dominance was created the large white circle over powers the whole image as the darker background behind it made up of horizontal lines brings the white circle out and becomes the main focus.
Balance was created by dividing the circle into two and having the negative and positive space in both sides of the circles.

The following two images shows the background, mid- ground and foreground using lines.

The first image shows that the background, mid ground and foreground are from the lightest being the foreground to the darkest being the background, The foreground lines are far apart where as the background lines are quite dense and close together. The second image shows the foreground being the darkest and background being the lightest. Therefore it is reversed as either way can create to show the background, mid- ground and foreground.

REFINED CONTOURS

MULTIPLE SECTIONS

FINAL REFINED CONTOUR

During the process of creating the refined contours i found it difficult to understand what was really expected in these drawings. My draft drawings were refined to basic geometric shapes such as circles, triangles and squares and also using arcs. The drawings then became really simple and basic. After doing my draft drawings my final is quite different as i got a better understanding , there isn't t much sharp edges but is more curvy also contour lines are added around the shape but is still refined.

TRIAL SHAPES

FINAL SHAPE
TRIAL1 USING PRIMITIVE CONTOUR
TRIAL 2 USING PRIMITIVE CONTOUR

When constructing the square based pyramid with the primitive contour a lot of the lines did not meet it took two trails to get most of the contours to meet on each side. Also when creating the net i had to choose if  i wanted to use tabs. When trialing to create the square based pyramid with tabs the contour lines did not join up at all. Therefore made the decision to create without tabs the so contours could join up.

  1. you use the right words to describe your work, the process of the refined contour tells a lot about the way you work and we feel the progress of your understanding of the requirements.
