This is my Final Klecksograph
I chose this one as my final as i like the balance between the negative and positive space on the page. There is also a sense of symmetry at first glance but as you look closer you can see some minor details that do not have symmetry making the 'klecky' more interesting to look at.
And this is My final Contour:
I chose this as my final because of the detail and depth it brings out. I like the balance of line weights that were used to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
Here are all 4 Drafts for my Foreground, Mid Ground and Background
I used hatching for this one and it shows some kind of varied depths but it isn't hugely detailed |
This is my other hatching draft which has a bit more depth. i created a whole new layer by covering the white in a dark layer of hatching. Although the photo makes it hard to see all the details |
This cross hatch one i attempted to create the depth and layers using only 1 line weight but i had more concentrated areas to bring out the depth which do not really stand out in this photo. |
I think my poche draft brought out a lot of depth and 3 dimensionality compared to the rest of my drafts. |
I really thought my Poche draft brought out a lot of depth i also found that one of my hatching ones didn't really stand out much so in my second draft i tried to work on it.
I tried to go for varying depths as well as sort of an Ominous feeling with my final one.
Below are both of my Charette's Showing Movement
My first one i went for quite a literal look. It was to try portray a moving cube using a sequential type of image as well as different line weights to show the different stages.
For my Second one i tried to show movement through using the different line weights and size to look like a pulse kind of like swell at a beach producing different sized waves.
What I have learned this week?
This week I have learnt how to use different line weights as well as hatching, cross hatching and poche to bring out depth and 3 dimensionality to my work.

good description of your work, clear presentation.
ReplyDeletethe first charette doesnt really talk about movement for me...the idea of repetition in the second one is interesting, don't forget the composition of your page, if you use the white part of the paper, it has to be part of your general drawing.
The hatching are quite shy , we dont really feel the contrast, the poché one looks deeper.
